The airline’s hub is Sheremetyevo Airport which was opened in 1959. Aeroflot was named the official airline of the Olympic games in 1980. The Aeroflot Group consists of: Rossiya,Pobeda,Donavia,Aurora and Orenair thus, making it the largest airline company in Russia. It offers premium as well as economy flights.

The airline offers three travel classes:Economy Class, Comfort Class and business Class.

The airlines offer a wide range of check-in options.Self-check-in machines are available at Moscow Airport ,Sheremetyevo, Kaliningrad and St. Petersburg. It also offers online check-in with a boarding pass from 24 hours to 1.5 hours prior to departure. Passengers can check-in using their phones too. This feature is available at all the domestic Russian flights from Moscow Sheremetyevo and from St. Petersburg Pulkovo Airport. However, for the passengers travelling with children under 2 years of age and for unaccompanied minors, this feature is unavailable.
